Although the forecast was mixed the weather held off for our match so we stayed dry. Despite an epic thunderstorm and monsoon rain the previous night the Old Course was in excellent condition and as always the RAFGC team and staff made us feel very welcome indeed and put on a superb lunch.
I’m delighted to say our XL team included a number of new members who gave every evidence of thoroughly enjoying themselves which was lovely to see. The matches were very tight with several being decided on the 18th hole, but RAFGC just had the edge and they prevailed with a 4:1 win.
