The Autumn Meeting took place at New Zealand Golf Club in wonderful weather despite a less than positive forecast and thus 54 players, including 8 guests, used a two-tee start to compete in the traditional 36 hole foursomes competition.
The two rounds were interspersed with some fine fare from the NZGC kitchen with some of the more senior Members having decided that one round was enough and to explore the club wine list a bit more extensively.
The winners saw some familiar faces in the line up as follows:
Overall winners of the Stollery Salvers: Richard Willacy and Mark Welsh
Runners up: Seamus Meyer and Mike Berry (guest)
Morning round winners of the Seagar Tumblers: Tony Stebbings and Tony Pinn
Runners up: Richard Freedman and Martin Fox
Afternoon winners of hobbs/Sutcliffe Bowls: Finbarr O’Connor and Chris Greet
Runners Up: Ron Beany and Alex Pemberton
