Paul Obey, Match Manager for the Tandridge match writes to inform the membership that the format of the match vs Tandridge has been changed from 18 holes foursomes to 18 holes 4BBB in discussion with the club.
In the days when the fixture was arranged by the late Ted Ray this was a 36 hole foursomes affair with lunch on a Saturday. It later moved to 18 holes foursomes due to tee-time restrictions but with the Covid-driven advent of tee-booking systems the club is now able to offer 4BBB arrangements which will definitely make the event more attractive to Members given that with a 3-course lunch, wine and golf for less than £80 it represents fantastic value, particularly with the reputation of the course and lunch of excellent quality including the famous Tandridge Pudding!
The match takes place on Saturday April 22nd and Paul would welcome more players to sign up as he is yet to find a full team. Please sign up as usual on the website.
