We played our annual fixture against West Hill in glorious golf conditions, with only Covid-19 related restrictions providing a bit of a challenge: no showers and no change of clothes for lunch being the principle limitations on normality…
The course was in great shape: all players enjoyed both the day, the lunch and the welcome given by our hosts.
A big thank you is due not only to Tom Passmore from West Hill for standing in as Match Manager for the home side and to Doug Adams doing the same for the XL Club.
And that’s where the good news ends…
After a number of personnel changes on both sides, some very last minute, it turned out that neither side was able to field the full complement of 12 players and we ended up with an 11 versus 11 match.
